なにげなく本を手に取った時、中谷美紀さんが
本当にインドを一人旅！？とびっくりしました。
誰もが一癖あるというインドなので。

実際は、バックパッカー的な旅のスタイルではなく、
全行程の予定を先に事前に立て、ホテル、ドライバー、
現地ガイドの手配を済ませてからの出発という感じで
納得。女性が一人で整った場所でないところを旅する
時は、こんなやり方もありなのか〜と思いました。

インドには行ってみたいと思いながらも勇気がありま
せんでしたが、同じ世代の女性が書かれたこの本を
読むことによって、なんとなく感じがつかめたので、
インド＆ネパールを旅してみることにしました。

慣れるまでなんだか読みにくい文章だなと思いまし
たが、同時に聡明な方なんだろうなという印象を
受けました。

バックパッカーじゃない一人旅の参考になると思います。

「インドを旅する」というのはとても大変だと思います。
レビューを読んでいると、著者の旅行の仕方に大変批判的な意見も多いのですが、
実際インドを旅したことある私としては、著者の旅行の仕方はとても常識にあふれている行動だと思います。
著者は贅沢で現地ガイドを雇っているわけではなく、大人の女性が賢くインドを旅行するのに懸命な選択だと思います。
日本人として生まれてしまったからには多少割高でも安全に快適に旅するには余分に費用を払うのはある意味仕方ないのですし、現地ガイドを雇うことはインドへの還元も果たしていることになります。
良識あるインド旅行の本として大変参考になりました。
経済的余裕が若干ある（30代一般ＯＬなど。。。）読者であれば、著者が選んだホテル・レストランであれば共感できると思います。
働く大人の女性のためのインド旅行には参考になる本だと思いました。

私は楽しく読めました。
何もインド旅行する人全てが貧乏旅行することないし、
貧困とナチュラルだけが、インドの姿ではないでしょう。
私も何回かインドに行きましたが、あの国は一筋縄ではいかない、
非常な多様性を持つ国です。
様々な人が、それぞれの立場で、多様な経験をして、それを文章にする。それこそが、書物の持つ役割ではないかと思います。
文章も衒ったところがなく、非常に素直で読みやすいもので、
ほとんど詰まらずに違和感なく読めました。
文章で一番大切なのは、読む人にわかりやすく、かつ自分の言いたいことを書くことと思いますが、その点、この文章はなかなかのものです。
しかし、この女優さん、頭も良くてなかなかしっかりした人ですね。
是非、続編を書いてほしいです。
