『コンセント』、『アンテナ』の前２作に比べると著しく劣る。
携帯電話、電磁波、新興宗教、引きこもり、児童虐待など、現代の諸問題を強く意識しているが、どれも消化しきれていない。
何より、小説としての起伏に乏しく、読後のカタルシスも薄い。
作者がこの小説で描きたかった世界を評価しつつも、実際に描けた小説が頭でっかちで、描きたかった世界を十分に描けたとは言いがたい。

4.0 out of 5 stars ３部作の最後を飾るのにふさわしい作品, 2009/2/10
「コンセント」「アンテナ」「モザイク」と、主人公が女性、男性ときて、最後は女性となった。正直、「コンセント」の主人公が非常に田口ランディのイメージに近く、インパクトがあったので、続く作品の主人公がどうなるのか不安だったのだが、「アンテナ」「モザイク」共に興味のわく人物像であったので、楽しめた。

私がこの本で一番興味を感じたのは、身体を研ぎ澄ます事で大容量の情報がコントロール出来る様になるのではないかという可能性だ。
作者が書くように、ここ近年で、情報の質と量が大きく変わってきたのに、人間のＯＳはなかなかバージョンアップされていない。
また、バージョンアップされたとしても、初期不良が多々起きるのだろう。

その中で、身体の研ぎ澄ましを行う事は、初期不良を乗り越えるのに大きく役立つのではないかと思った。
ＰＣの世界は文章から画像、音声、動画と進み、様々な形式を持つことで、情報量の増加を加速化してきた。が、それと同時に、受け止める側が情報を前面で受け止める事に腐心し、薄っぺらくなってきている気がするのも確かだ。
身体全体で「聞く」事が出来る様になれば、全人性は回復し、雷同不和により安定性を得るよな安易な真似をしないで済む様になるのかもしれない、との希望を感じた。
（この本の真のテーマとは少し離れるような気もするが）

興味が湧いたのが、もう一つ。この作家の作品レビューに対しての評価の片寄りだ。
肯定的なレビューに対して、「参考にならなかった」票が多く集まっている事。
他の作家では見られにくい現象だ。
好印象・悪印象どちらであっても、心の深い琴線に触れる作品を提供しているという事が、作家の力なのだろうと思った。

「コンセント」はほどほど、
「アンテナ」はかなり面白かったので、
つまらないとは全く想像してなかったけれど、
正直、つまらなかった。

こむずかしいくだりばかりなわりには、
稚拙だし。
響くくだりも幾つかあるんだけど、
非常に疲れるし、焦点のぼやけた作品だと思う。
