なんて思ってたら上巻が終わってた。
相変わらず新堂、一気に読ませます。

こんな展開を誰が予想できようか。とにかく恐ろしいの一言。下巻へのラストに向けて、間髪いれずに展開する文体の小気味良さは、とにかく結末を知りたい一心で一気に読んでしまうリズムの良さ。作者の才能に脱帽。

純愛小説しか書けない売れない作家。その息子がある日突然豹変。実の親に対して酒、タバコはもちろんエロ･ビデオまで借りさせ、殴る蹴るの暴力だけでなく、実の妹を友人らに犯させるという、とにかくむちゃくちゃなやつ。同じ時期に妻も自分に対してよそよそしくなってしまい、息子の更生に協力しようとしない。その原因は何のか？ 何ででしょう? それは読んでからのお楽しみです。
一般的な作家の悲哀がよく表現されてる感じがしました。私は作家じゃないからほんとのところはわかりませんが。
というよりも主人公の作家のセンスが非常に興味深く、ほんとにこんな人が今時いるのかな? という感じでした。
