この小説の感想は良い意味で裏切られました。
今流行りのタレント本と思いきや、帯にも書いてあるように
「一級の文学作品」でした。
内容は、著者の前田さん自身もそうであるように、
９人のセクシャルマイノリティの話でしたが、
決してセクシャルマイノリティの苦悩などを押し付けで書いてない
所に共感しました。変態という題材で内容的にはかなりハードですが、
その中にもなんとも言えない切なさや悲しみ、またそれと同時に
人としての温かさや優しさが同居する作品で、とても魅力的な作品です。
人を愛するってどんなに大変な事なのかも改めて考えさせられました。
この本を読めて良かったと思います！
是非、オススメします。

　新聞の広告を見て興味半分で読みましたが、想像以上に面白かったです。
　分かりやすい文体でサラッと読めるのに、それでいて内容は深く、かつ丁寧に描かれています。他のレビュアーさんも書かれていましたが、キャッチコピーの「芸人を越えた一級の文学作品だ」は、決して大げさではありません。

　よく「人生は闘いだ」と言われますが、特に少数派の人たちにとっては、より闘いなのでしょう。周りに仲間がいないから、自分に自信がもてず、後ろ暗い気もちも湧いてくる。この短編集に出てくる９人の人たちは、そんななかを生きているひたむきさが伝わってきて、切なくなります。
　実際に法に触れることをしているのは、ロリコン教師が登場する「エーデルワイス」と、女性の家を不法侵入する男の「ヒヤシンス」くらいで、単に「自分は一般の人とは生き方が違う」というだけで隅に追いやられてしまっています。本当に「少数派＝普通じゃない」という公式が正しいのか、身につまされた主人公の気持ちに感情移入するたび、疑問になります。

　個人的には、上記の家宅不法侵入者の「ヒヤシンス」が最もスリリングで面白かったです。
　更け専の女の子の「カーネーション」は、男女逆で、年上の女性専の男の子の物語だったら、より面白かったかも。また、自らを「ひとでなし」呼ばわりする、セックス依存症の女性の「ダリア」のラストは、とても清清しく、ホッともできます。自分に嘘をつかず、真剣に生きてきたからこその境地であると、深く納得させられます。

もともと前田健さんのファンなのでこの本を購入しました。
ひとつひとつの物語がとてもきちんとしていて、
短編小説なのに、しっかりとした物語を読んだような気分になります。
また、文章を読んでいると映像が浮かび上がるような気がしました。
扱っている内容はセクシャルマイノリティのことですが、
通奏低音のように『愛』を感じます。
自分の心の深いところに響く小説だと思います。
