阪急今津線。
全部で８駅。片道たったの１５分という電車を舞台にした短編連作です。
出会って恋が始まる男女のすぐ側には、元婚約者の結婚式で闘ってきた女がいる。
彼女が降りるのを見送るカップルは、身勝手な暴力男と彼の横暴に耐えている女。
偶然乗り合わせている彼らにはそれぞれの人生があって、電車に乗っているわずかの間に、彼らの人生がほんのいっとき交わる。
この今津線というのは作者が住んでいるところだそうで、ツバメの駅なども、本当にあるそうです。
「空の中」「海の底」のような大事件が起こるわけではなく、ほんの日常の一部を描いたほのぼのとした雰囲気の本でした。

　懐かしい。
　まずは、その一語に尽きました。
　タイトルの阪急電車、わけても物語の舞台のすべてといっていい阪急電車今津線は自分にとってもずっと使い続けて来た沿線だし、作品中にでてくるスポットや場所も知っているところが殆ど。町の雰囲気や情景、人々の雰囲気がすごくリアルに立ち上がってきて、地元民だった当時の事がすごく懐かしく思い起こされました。作品自体がよく出来ている事が大前提ですが、普通の人が読んで感じる暖かさ以上のものを、こればっかりは住んでいた人間の特権としてより大きく受け取ることが出来たと思います。
　自分にとっては、初読みの有川浩(失礼なことに最近まで男性と勘違いしていた)さんでしたが、なんともいえずバラエティ豊かないろんな人の日常描写と群像劇の妙に、他の作品も読んでみたいと思いました。小説の構造自体は、阪急電車の宝塚駅から西宮北口までのわずか十あまりの駅を一つ乗り進むたびに主人公を変えて一つの物語がたちあがり、それが相互に干渉し合い、折り返し地点からまた話が時間を経て進んでいくという今迄になかった新しい試みがある実験的な小説なんですが、その中で繰り広げられる日常はあくまで日常のことで何か凄いことがあるわけでもないですがだからこそ安心して優しい気分で読む事が出来ます。　
　共感する、というのが一番近いでしょうか。若いカップルたちの話に昔を思い、小さな子とおばあちゃんの会話に暖かい気持ちになり、恋する女の子の悩みや葛藤にため息をついたり、別れに決別する女性にがんばれとエールを送ったり、そんな感じで読んでいく一冊です。
　男性にはちょっと勧めるのがためらわれるのですが、女性ならけっこう共感して読んでもらえると思います。

図書館シリーズも好きだったけれども…。個人的には『阪急電車』の方が好みだったかも。

いろんな人の人生を運ぶ電車だからこそ多々の出会いがある。彼を寝取られてしまった女性、『生』の字がご縁で付き合うことになったカップル、高校生達の話しから彼と別れる決意をする女性等の人生が交錯して行くお話。

身近でも何処かでありそうなお話なだけに共感出来ます。そして、恋愛問題であったも後くされなくサッパリなので読んでいても爽やかでした。物語の中の数多の出会い素敵でした。
