楽天イーグルス、TBS買収攻防、そして品川シーサイドの楽天タワーへの引っ越し
など、最近話題を集めることも多くなった楽天社長・三木谷浩史氏の書き下ろし。
楽天社内に掲げているという5つの「成功のコンセプト」と、そのコンセプトを
掲げる理由、具体的に意味する内容などを語った。楽天も設立から10年を迎え、
グループ連結で1兆円に達する企業になった今、社員に対しての直接的な語りかけ
を行っている内容とも言える。

コンセプトの一つ一つは読むと日頃から前向きなビジネスマンなら、元気づけ
られたり、はっとさせられる言葉もある。しかし、ここに書かれたことの
すべてを実践するために必要なエネルギーは相当なもの。周りがこうした集団
であって、自らの潜在能力が引き出されてこそはじめて到達し得る境地かも
しれない。

内容としては「インターネット上のショッピングモールには確実に将来性が
あるはずなのに、なぜ苦戦するのか。そこには確実に“改善”の余地がある。」
と三木谷氏が考えた下り、天才でなくても、常に努力をすれば必ず勝てる、
「Get things done.(あらゆる手段を使って勝つ姿勢を)」などは、三木谷楽天
イズムの真骨頂なのだろうなと感じた。それは、今の日本ではベンチャーの
10年選手だけが持っているものなのかもしれない。

楽天の急成長の秘訣、成功のコンセプトを数々の事例を交えながら一つ一つ詳細に解説しています。
成功のコンセプトとは以下の５つ。

・常に改善、常に前進
・Professionalismの徹底
・仮説→実行→検証→仕組化
・顧客満足の最大化
・スピード!!　スピード!!　スピード!!

社員証の裏に記されていたり、社内の至る所にポスターが貼ってあったりと、
良くメディアにも取り上げられるので結構みんな知っているかもしれません。
なので、読む人によっては目新しさは少ないかも。

内容はそんなに特別なことを言っているわけではないです。
大事なことは実践を徹底すること。
すごいのはコンセプトを共有できたこと。
徹底することが大事だと再認識。

楽天の成長を三木谷社長の哲学と共に知る一冊。
知らない人にはぜひ読んでほしいです。

親しみやすい文体で、とても読みやすいので3時間ほどでサラッと読み終えてしまいますが、そこで終わらせてはもったいない内容です。なぜなら、たったの10年で、総流通額（楽天市場内で行われている取引の年間総額）一兆円の大企業を作り上げた著者の成功のためのエッセンスがギュギュッと凝縮されて記載されているからです。

「Get things done」（何が何でもやる）

「イノベーションとオペレーション」

「人と社会をエンパワーメント（元気にする）する」

「仕事を人生最大の遊びにできれば、誰でも優秀なビジネスマンになれる」

「面白い仕事は無い。仕事を面白くする人間がいるのだ」

などなど、心に響く名言も盛りだくさんです。

起業家や経営者はもちろんですが、「人生を変えたい」「何かを成し遂げたい」と切望するサラリーマンや学生にもお勧めの書です。
