8年程前のこと、私はファンだった渡辺先生の講演会に出かけました。
なんとその夜、私の友人は、出版関係の知人に誘われ京都ロイヤルホテルのラウンジで渡辺先生と一緒に3人で飲んだと言うではありませんか！
「どうして私も誘ってくれなかったのよー？！」と悔しがる私に、彼女は
「どこがエエのん？最低。全くただのエロ親爺やったえ！」
そして数年後、私は「失楽園」にガッカリして以来、友人の言葉は正しかったと思うようになりました。
にも関らず、今回また本屋さんに山積みされてるのを見て本書を衝動買いしてしまいました。
結果はやっぱり没。
ひどい駄作。プロの作品とは思えません。
渡辺先生、色ボケ老人状態では？
「お爺さん、お爺さん、冬香さんみたいに都合の良い人妻、降って湧いたりしませんよ〜。」と口に出して言いたくなります。

本書は読めば読むほど、現実味に欠ける稚拙な自慢話を、ダラダラ延々と聞かされているがごとく、ゲンナ〜リしてきます。
フラットで実につまらない。
官能小説としても価値は著しく低いと思います。
ウンザリしながら我慢して読み続けるのが嫌になり、下巻の途中でとうとう読むのを止めました。読み始めた書籍を途中で投げ出すのって、ちょっと後味の悪いものですよ。
この本はお勧めできません。

話題作なので久しぶりに氏の作品を読んでみました。
昔の作品は登場人物の心情や背景などが美しい文体で細やかに表現されていましたが、
もうそのような作品は書けなくなってしまったのですね。
美しい日本語が消え去って俗っぽい文章になってしまっていることが残念です。
一応最後まで読みましたが、内容はなんだか非常に古臭い感じがしました。
男女の性愛の違いというテーマは既に他の作家さんが１０年以上も前から取り上げられており、
文学作品として満足できる作品が沢山出ています。
それらに比べてこの作品は「こんな女性がいたらいいな」という中高年男性向けのポルノ小説という印象です。
性的描写だけで心情的な面が全く書かれていないのですから。
昔、氏のファンだっただけにがっかりしました。

日経新聞連載時に読んでいました。何ともひどい作品だと毎日苦笑していました。
ホントは☆一つもあげたくないんですけど。
設定がお粗末、描写がお粗末、登場人物の造形も氏の他作品とさほど変わらない。
何故このような不倫に陥ったのか心情の移り変わりが唐突で、感情移入が全くできない。
どう見ても取材不足だと思われる箇所が多かったことと、読み進めていくたびに矛盾点が次から次へと出てくること、伏線全て無視...などとにかく不満です。
訳の分からない造語を使う前に、きちんと取材をし、文章表現をもう少し磨いていただきたいものです。
