自分のところしか読まない方には確かに4、5ページで十分かもしれないですが、これは他人の分析を行うのにもかなり有用です。身近な人間（夫婦、親兄弟、同僚、上司）でも分かる範囲で診断すると相当当たっていて笑えます。分析癖のある方（因みに私フタコブジミラクダ）にお薦め。ああ、この人と接するにはこうすればいい（もしくはこうするしかない）んだな、と分かりますし、名越先生がこの本を書かれた趣旨もそこにあると前書きに書かれていました。名越先生やっぱりすごい。

著者の名越康文氏は1960年生まれの精神科医（専門は精神療法、思春期精神医学）であるが、
漫画『殺し屋1―イチ―』『ホムンクルス』の原作ブレーンを始め漫画・映画・音楽批評も行っており、
かつ今年４月から放映されているフジテレビの「グータン~自分探しバラエティ」にも出演、
その穏やかな口調と、鋭い性格分析によって好評を博されている。

その名越氏ファン待望の一冊が本書である。
本書は人を体型や骨格・体質をもとに8種類のキャラクターに分け
それぞれのキャラクターごとに恋愛・ファッション・金銭感覚・職業などを分析、
今後の行動のアドバイスなどが書かれている。

「フタコブジミラクダ」など珍妙な名称のキャラクターの数々が登場し
「グータン」を観ていた人は、ゲストの性格分類をしたりと
単純にまず楽しめる構成になっている。
（これはプロデュースしたおちまさと氏の力によるものが大きいのだろう）

しかし本書は精神医学の専門用語を使っていないだけで
かなり突っ込んだ分析も行われていると感じる。
名越氏によれば、一度決まったキャラクターは20歳を過ぎると
ほとんど変わることが無いのだという。
変わらないからこそ受け入れて、そこからどういう風に生きたらいいのかを
考えてもらいたい、と書かれているが、それには
前向きで、かつ実は冷静かつ厳しい自己分析が必要だろう。

判りやすく、手に取りやすい内容であるが、
実は奥の深い一冊である。

　とっつきやすい外見や、その価格の割りに内容の濃い一冊。
　グータンをきっかけに名越氏の精神分析に興味を持った人は、読んで損がないと思います。
　文章の語り口がグータンそのままで、名越氏が直接語りかけているような気分にもなれます。それだけに、内容も難しくなく、読めば読んだとおりに頭に入ってきます。実にわかりやすい！
　それに、キャラクターの絵をみながら、「あ、こんな雰囲気の人、会社にいるな」的に判断しても、大きく分析を外れないところは、さすが、といえます。
　キャラクターの絵で分析したり、チェックリストで分析したり、分析結果でを参考にしたり、といろいろな使い方ができます。

　グータンを見るときは、この本を参考にしながら、名越氏と一緒に分析すると、より番組が楽しめると思います。
