不器用な人ってのは、見てて痛々しい反面、不思議な魅力がある。今の僕の境遇と似てる登場人物もいて、読むのをためらうような場面もある。でも読み始めたら止まらない。表紙も好きです。

二日酔いでボロボロになったオレが読みました (笑)

『死刑』はかなりグロイ表現があった。『おさびし島』では官能小説並みのエロい表現があって、読んでるコッチが若干恥ずかしくなった f(^^;)

けど、やはりリリーさんはイイ!!表面的なことを言うと、まず、この人のボキャブラリーというか随所で使われている言葉選びのセンスが好きだ☆リリーさんの脳内辞書が欲しい!!そうでなかったらリリーさん語録が欲しい!!

　あと、この本だけに限らないけど、リリーさんの書いた本では大体の場合濃すぎるくらいブラックなギャグが含まれているんだけど、それが作る陰の中に社会風刺が成されていて自分の美学をそこにきれいにメッセージとして織り込んでいる。そういう意味ではやっぱりこの人の作品ってどこか芸術的だ（＾~＾）

けど、アクが強いから人によりけりだな。この本は

短編小説集だけど、彼がコラムの時に見せた切れ味がないです。コラムでは、うまい表現・美醜の判断基準やモラル・笑い・妙な体験の面白さに溢れた人だったけど、小説だとそういった特徴が出ておらず、うまい表現が散見される位。
また、書き方として拙い印象がある。描写やセリフが説明調というか。例えば、美術好きの人物を描くために「いやー美術ってのはいいねえ、５年前からやってるけど情熱は高まるばかりだよ」と発言させるみたいな（例え話です。実際にはそういう文はありません）。
もし彼の著書を初めて読むのであれば、この本から始めると彼を過小評価する恐れがあります。「女子の生きざま」「美女と野球」などの方を読んでください。
