レビューを書いたみんなが勧めているので、早速買って読みました。画期的で興味深い内容なんだけど、なんだか話がくどくない？説明の前半部分に、具体例を挙げようとして、面白くない落語のまくらのような話が必ず出ています。話を無理矢理膨らませようとしているのか、あるいは編集側の悪趣味に著者が妥協したのか、最も読者の興味を引く著者の学術的な解説の部分が台無しになっています。読んでいると、とても疲れてうんざりする構成だと思います。これが無ければ満点かもしれないのに残念です。説明の前半部分は飛ばして後半部分だけ読みましょう。

たくさんの言葉があるのでためにはなりますが、作者が年輩の方なので少しジェネレーションギャップを感じます。紹介されてる言葉もそうですし、説明の文章も若い人向けではないような気が。あと例文なんかを載せてくれるとよかったのですが、つらつらと説明だけじゃ消化しにくいものもありました。読んで損はないと思いますが、買ってまで読めとはちょっと、、、。

辞書編纂では名のある柴田武氏。
そのお方が書いたとはとても思えない、内容矛盾だらけのトンデモ本。
一般的な学説とは全然違う説を一方では出しておきながら、後で「決め付けはいけない」ときています。
一度、自分の書いた文を読み返してごらんなさい？と周りの誰かが言えなかったのでしょうか。
それに、例に出てくる人物に現実味がありません。

「講釈師、見てきたように嘘をつき」と言いますが、これはいかにも「実際に見ていない」ことがバレバレで白けます。
「象牙の塔」に籠っているとこうなるという典型です。
新解さんはこうおっしゃっています。

うとい【疎い】

そのものとの交渉が浅かったり全く無かったりして、内情・本質を見抜く力が欠けている様子だ。「世事に疎い〔＝若過ぎたり世間的な苦労が少なかったりして、実社会の裏面がよく分かっていない〕」

新明国編集委員会代表の柴田氏自身が、この言葉を噛み締めなければなりません。
