5.0 out of 5 stars 古川日出男の精髄がここにある, 2004/3/30
繊細な筆致に感性を揺さぶられる。「十億年が過ぎて、わたしは東横線に乗り込んだ」という書き出しからして、不思議な感じだ。内容は薄いが、この手の作品に重厚さは必要ないだろう。
小説としての面白さは「１３」を始めとする他の作品に劣るが、最も古川日出男の魅力が詰め込まれた作品であると思う。

私は一年の内に二度読んで二度感動した。現在三度目を読んでいる途中である。

3.0 out of 5 stars 一風変わった恋愛（？）小説。, 2003/2/20
　古川氏の他の著作「沈黙」と部分的に少しだけ繋がったところがありますが、話自体は全く別物。

　親が引越しの都合により、娘（彼女）に無断でアビシニアン（名前もそのまま）を保健所へ連れていってしまいますが、当時中学生だった彼女は助けを得て愛猫を取り戻し、そのまま猫と一緒に野生化する…というのが第１部。

　第２部で、彼女（後にエンマと命名される）はシナリオを書く大学生の青年と邂逅し、彼の中に痛みを見出した彼女と見出された彼（エンマによってシヴァと命名される）は『共鳴』しあう（「恋愛感情が芽生えた」というよりは、こちらの方がしっくりする気がします）…といった具合です。

　古川氏の斬新な発想と豊かな表現力が今回も遺憾なく発揮されておりますが、これまでの作品とは違ってやや軽めな（力みの抜けた）作品のように思います。
　
　そして、もし「沈黙」の方も読もうと思っていらっしゃる方がおられましたら、そちらを先にお読みになってから、この本を読まれた方が良いと思います。（単に、読後感の問題です…）
