発売日に銀座の書店を４軒も回ったのに売り切れ。
１週間後にようやくＧＥＴ。

すごい！　すご過ぎる！
電車の中で読んで、危うく声を出して笑いそうになった。
この１巻だけでオワリだなんてもったいない！
もっとガッツを！

次に期待を込めて「星四つ」ということで。

不覚にも、電車内で思い出し笑いをしてしまった。

ガッツ石松、恐るべし。彼の頭脳には誰も太刀打ちできない。

ただ、一つ一つのネタ（？）に付いた編集部のコメント（ツッコミ）は要らない。それがこの本の評価を下げている。

そう、誰一人としてガッツ石松にツッコミを入れることなど出来ないのだ。

ガッツ伝説は、今までも浅草キッドなどに「発見」され続けていたわけだが、
今回はなわのネタがきっかけとなって、こういった本が出版された。
まことに賀すべきことである。
「ネタじゃなゃいのか？」と思える箇所が数ヶ所あるが、やはりこれも
「マジボケ」なのだろう。と思ったらなかなかうならされるコメントも

あったりして、ガッツ海の深さの計り知れなさに呆然とする。
余談だが、本の中でも紹介されてるガッツ監督映画「カンバック」
（カムバックではない）も悶絶級の面白さ。必見。
