仕事、結婚、病気の親…などに想いが揺れる30代の女性たちを中心に描いた梶尾作品ではちょっと異色の作品かも。
友情か愛情か、自分の人生か病身の親か…など誰しも抱えうる葛藤がSF要素をスパイスして絡み合ってます。

120％甘めのハッピーエンドではなく、切なさやほろ苦さの残る読後感です。

☆を５つにしなかったのは、過去作品で自分の中の「ピカイチ！！」がいくつかあるから（笑）　それと、女性たちの描き方としてファッションや小物の描写に物足りなさを感じる人もいるかな〜と思ったので

お酒と食べ物の描写が細かいのは作者の趣味が出てるな〜とも思いますよ（笑）

アイスマンとは、主人公の女性に与えられた、ニックネームだ。
ファンタジックな話ではあるが、まじないにより、男女の恋を成就させたりする。

主人公は、三十歳を少し過ぎるが、病気の母の看病、友人との約束、そして、かなわぬ恋？と、悩みは尽きない。
しかし、この主人公って、人情味あふれる人だけど、少々押しが弱いのが、難点か？

テンポ良く読み進む事の出来る文体、そして、恋愛感情も絡んだ、楽しい内容。
また、何より楽しみなのは、著者の作品の常である、意外な結末だ。

物語には、紆余曲折は多いが、終盤に至るまで、少々平凡な結末に収束するものと、思われた。
ところが、最終部分は、全く想像出来なかった内容となっている。
やはり、「意外な結末」という予想は、裏切られなかった。

本書には、友情や親子の情愛、恋愛などがぎっしりと詰まっている。
それらは、終始、熊本を舞台に描かれる。

焼肉屋で肉を注文する下りでは、カルビ、ロースなどに混じって、馬という文字も見える。
食べ物の話題も豊富で、そこにも、熊本を感じさせてくれる。

余韻は、けっして悪くは無いので、ご安心を。
