「たとえば、音楽のように愉しんで貰えれば、と思った次第なのだ」という、作中人物の語りがソノママ紹介になりそうな感じ
ストーリーにがっつき、謎解き、じゃあなくて…距離をもってＢＧＭのように読める怪奇幻想短編集

古城、人形、深夜特急、博物館、聖夜、ゴシック趣味人のツボを抑えたモチーフを
癖のある独特の語り口で描き出す全１３編収録
文体は装飾多いけども、内容はおもいっきし耽美ってわけでもないので
表紙にビビらずいってみて大丈夫

どこかで必ず「え？」と、予想を裏切るストーリーは、
井上作品を読みなれている人には「愛すべきマンネリ」
初めて読むひとには「小洒落たトリックを読むよろこび」というあたり

音楽というようりは、レトロなホラー映画を見終わったような読後感
著者がホラー映画マニアなので、
キャラクターの台詞に作品名の引用も盛りだくさん
作品自体が恐怖映画のオマージュなんじゃないかと勘ぐりたくなるものも有り
ホラーパロディとしても読めます
ホラー好きな人は、作品から辿って映画なんかもチェックしてみるとどっぷり浸れる類の本

惜しむらくは、井上作品を読み倒していると再録が多く感じること
でも、装丁も凝ってるんで、
ファンならば一冊くらい本棚に置いておいても、なかなか良さそうです
