　ＰＯＧゲーマー必須アイテムの赤本の03~04版。他のＰＯＧ本は写真ばかりの退屈になりがちな構成である(純粋にＰＯＧ情報が欲しいだけならそれでも構わないのだが)が、赤本はファーストクロップサイヤーに対する血統レビュアーの評価、去年人気あったが駄目だった馬の紹介、競馬関係者へのインタビューなど文章もいいバランスで含まれており、読者を飽きさせない構成になっている。

　また、いい指名馬が見つかってもドラフトで取れなければ意味がない。そんなわけで昨年度版から始まった「誌上仮想ドラフト」コーナーでは人気馬がどの程度の人気なのかを推し量ることができる。この点はあまり他の書籍ではない特徴である。

　ＰＯＧをやっていない人でも単純に読み物としても楽しめる構成であり、この??を機会にＰＯＧを始めるのもいいかもしれない。ＪＲＡが行っているマイホースグランプリの２歳馬選択にも役に立つだろう。

　2003年のＰＯＧもやっぱり赤本必須かな？
