建築家／インテリアデザイナーが、世界のさまざまなホテルの部屋の見取り図を描いている。
正確な測定と画力、ディテールがしっかりしているから、部屋の中をイメージできる。
素人にはできない、かといって専門家にしかわからないわけでもなく。

文章も品があっていいですね。旅に出たくなります。

あるインテリア・コーディネーターから薦められ、買った。
妹尾河童の「河童の見た」シリーズで、一点透視画法の俯瞰図で楽しんだ事はあったが、
建築の専門家により描かれた、素晴らしいタッチの本作は、もう手離しで絶賛するほか無い。
このポイントから、こう見る、だからこの建物は、この様に作られている、と解いて行く点、
矢張り設計者の意図を読み解く力を有した者の持つ、洞察力、視座視点の違いを感じざるを
得ない。敢えて、カメラ等の「画像」ではなく、絵、にこだわるあたりは、手先に託した絵
画作りを通して、自分の記憶に深く、その場を刻み込もうとする作者の「生き方」を感じら
れ、勝手ではあるが、共感を得るのだ。結果、大小２冊とも買ってしまった。　是非行きい、
と思わせる絵と文章ばかりで、困るほどだ。

設計者の視点で見た世界のホテルの平面図。
実測しているので本当にディテールまでしっかり書かれています。
こまかな寸法や素材の記載、著者が感動した箇所のコメントなど、
読み込んでいくと全然ページがすすみません。
また、これがホテルのレターペーパーに書かれてあるところが、すごくいい！
いくつか行ったことのあるホテルもあって、その時の記憶がよみがえり、
テンションあがります。
本当に全部の部屋に泊まりに行きたくなっちゃう。
