私自身間違えたので一応お知らせを。
フロストものは短編1話(100Pほど)で、その他作家の作品も含めたクリスマス短編刑事モノ作品集です。

クリスマスにちなんだ短編集ですが、やはり表題にもなっているフロスト作品に注目！
クリスマスのデントン署はいつものとおりおおわらわ。
糖尿病なのに失踪した少女、誘拐された赤ん坊、金庫から消えた売上金・・・いつものとおりいくつもの事件が、時に悲劇的な結末を迎えながら同時進行していきます。
寡作なウィングフィールドからの久々のクリスマスプレゼントのような作品でした。
ムレットの嫌味な立ち回り方でさえもいとおしく？なりそうです。
フロストシリーズを読んだことが無い方もこの短編で試してみてはいかがでしょう。

　『ジャーロ』傑作短編アンソロジー第３弾、クリスマスにちなんだ短篇が７作収録されています。どれもおもしろいのですが、フロストびいきとしてはやはり表題作の『夜明けのフロスト』が嬉しかった！　中編ではありますが、フロスト節炸裂してます。寡作で知られるウィングフィールドだけに、たとえ長編でなくても、フロストに会えるのはほんと、感涙ものです。

　他に収録されているのはエドワード・Ｄ・ホック「クリスマスツリー殺人事件」、ナンシー・ピカード「Dr.カウチ　大統領を救う」、ダグ・アリン「あの子は誰なの？」、レジナルド・ヒル「お宝の猿」、マーシャ・マラー＆ビル・プロンジーニ「わかちあう季節」、ピーター・ラヴゼイ「殺しのくちづけ」の７編、ほのぼのしていたり、どきりとしたり、クリスマスにこそ読みたいお話ばかりです。

　木村仁良さんの解説にあるように「ぜひともこのクリスマス・ミステリー・アンソロジーをクリスマス・プレゼントして親愛なる方々へ、知り合いの方々へ、そして自分自身へ贈ってはいかが」でしょうか？　次のクリスマスにはぜひあの人に♪

デントンは本当に忙しいのだろう。フロスト警部は自分自身を忙しくし、事件をいつの間にか解決していく。短編でもきらりと光るところが素晴らしいと思う。
