　いくら好きな作家さんとはいえ当たりハズレはやむなくあるもので、前のはあんなにげらげら笑えたのに、今回のは何これ？ つまんなくない？ という時もあります。
　そういった意味では、今回のこの三浦しをんの『極め道』は個人的にハズレでした。同じ三浦しをんのエッセイでも、『三浦しをんの人生劇場』や『しをんのしおり』はすごく笑えて楽しめたのに、今回はダメでした。内容はいずれも、ボーイズラブ、少年漫画、少女漫画、酒、ファッション、舞台、宝塚、バンドもの、胸毛（三浦しをんでこれは外せない）と同じような悪くいえばマンネリな内容なんですけれどね。体調が悪かったのかダメでした。
　ただ、彼女の名誉のために書いておかなきゃならないのが、面白くなかったのは直木賞を取って天狗になったとかお高くとまるようになったとかではないということ。書かれてる時期は前世期末９９年あたりのことだし、内容的にも結婚前の乙女のお嬢様がここまでぶっちゃけていいのかというくらいなんでもありでやってますから、直木賞とは無関係なのは間違いありません。単純に光文社さんのエッセイ選択がまずいのか、新潮社さんがうまいのか、それとも読み手の状況か、ともあれ彼女は今日も元気にがんばってるはずです。
　個人的に好きな作家さんなので次は頑張ってください。
　好きなだけにちょっと辛めの評価です。本当は三浦しをんはもっとめっちゃ面白いと思うので。

友人と喋るように、文章にうけあったり、つっこんだりしながら、愉しんだ。
マンガや小説、映画など、著者のルーツが見えてくる。少女マンガやボーイズラブについての分析が面白い。自分が読んで来たものが数多く出てくるだけに、面白い。
フェミニズム的な感覚も持ちつつ、ステレオタイプなもので遊べる余裕。かつ、自分をネタにできる度胸に好感を持った。

普段エッセイはあまり読まない私だが、三浦しをんさんのエッセイは面白おかしく読んでいる。
私自身、読んだり知っているマンガが多い（つまり話が分かる）のも理由の一つだろう。
そして、作者の爆笑エピソードはある種で「爆裂」通りトンでいるのだが、これがほんっとうに面白い。
それどころか共感してしまうし、その潔さには敗北感すら抱いてしまう。
滑るような文体に、時折声をあげてしまうほどの「笑いの爆弾」が埋め込まれている。
私は電車の中で思わず笑ってしまった。読む時には一人でクスッと読める場所をお勧めします。
