梶尾SFの得意とする「時間とラブロマンス」ど真ん中の作品。
本には「書き下ろし」と明記してありますが、初出は平凡社の「月刊百科」。
これに３回に分けて連載された「白鳥山奇譚」に大幅加筆を加えたのが本作です。
元の作品ではちょっと駆け足という印象を受けましたが、加筆部分がしっかり効いてよくなっていると思います。
元の作品を連載していた冊子は入手困難なため、初読の方が多いでしょうが・・・

ともあれ、カジシン作品の中でも、この手の作品は非常に人に勧めやすいです。
「間違いない」ですから。

この作品、早速カドカワから映画化のオファーがきたそうです。

白鳥山に行ってみた。
確かに時空を超える洞があった。
その中に入った時、著者の発想が奇想天外でなく、誰でもが受ける感覚であったのだとわかった。
白鳥山には不思議が多い。
コンパスも狂えばＧＰＳも使い物にならない。
そしてドリーネに入れば、悠久の時の中で人間は短い時間感覚を失ってしまう。
ここで清経も最期を迎えたのかもしれないし。
今度、梶尾氏にお願いして一緒に白鳥山に登ってみたい。

著者お得意の時間をテーマとした、純粋な男女の時間を越えた長距離恋愛。
テーマとしてはおもしろいのだが、かなり強引なストーリー展開と途中で先が見えてしまう構成等、もう少し捻ってほしかった。
なんとか先を読ませまいと伏線を張っているが、メインがあまりにもストレートなため空振りってところか。
同じテーマを扱っている「クロノス・ジョウンターの伝説 」の方が以外性もあって、数倍おすすめ。
ただ、純粋な気分にひたりたいなら良いかも。
著者も脇役で出てくるし。
