~江戸川乱歩の少年探偵団モノを読みあさって、空想に胸ときめかしたあの頃。
近所の子を集めては、仲間同士の合い言葉を作ったり、建築現場でひろった釘だのタイルだのを、ポケットいっぱいに詰め込んで、合図や、怪しい人間を尾行するときの
道しるべにつかったりして（勝手に怪しい奴に仕立てあげただけの「遊び」なんですけど）少年探偵になったつもりで~~楽しんでいたあの頃。
この本を読むと、ちょっぴり気恥ずかしさとともに、そんな子供の頃を思い出します。
トリック謎解きブックやなじなぞブックなどとともに、このような色々なまめ知識を載せた手帳も嬉しい付録の一つでしたが、私たちのころは、漫画キャラクターがクイズを出題したり、自然現象や家庭の道具を利用した役立ちまめ知識を面白可笑しく披露~~するという趣きが主流で、
この少年探偵手帳のような、《子供向けではあるけど硬派》的趣向は薄れていたので、本当に貴重だと思います。~

　この本は、題名からして幼稚なイメージがありますが、内容はとても充実しており、大人でも十分楽しめるようになっています。北斗七星で時間を知ることができたら嬉しくなりませんか？

さいきんは、こういう馬鹿な書籍をあまり見ませんね。

科学的に問題のある記述も、多からず含まれているような
気もしますが、僕らが子どもの頃は、この類の記述を読んでは
目を輝かせていたものです。

けっきょく、いまのアウトドア本とか、サバイバル本とかにはない
夢の詰まった本だといえるのではないでしょうか。

なつかしくも楽しい1冊です。
