基本的に、東野圭吾さんの本は長編を選んで読むのですが、この本は、それぞれに面白みがあり、話の展開に意外性があり、どれも最後が気になり、すぐに読めます。

表題作は作者特有のトリックではじめて読めばあっとおどろくが、何作も読んでいるとまたかという感じですが、それでもやはりうまい！と思ってしまう。 それ以外は結末がやるせなさを感じさせます。どうしようもない後味の悪さを感じたくない人はやめた方がいいかも。

ちょっとしたいたずらから大事件が起こる、相手に良かれと思ったことが、思わぬ方向に行ってしまう、殺す気など全くないのに相手を殺してしまう。どれもちょっとひねった一味違うミステリーだ。読みながら、謎解き、犯人捜しをするのもわくわくして面白い。どれも、身近で起こってもおかしくない出来事だから、よけいにのめり込んで読んでしまった。さすが東野さん！！
