　上巻に引き続き、『名詞・冠詞・形容詞・副詞・否定・比較・節』が乗っています。特に前半の品詞の分野は、英文解釈の時は注意しなくてもなんとなく読めてしまうので注意して理解する必要があると思います。上巻と同様、とてもいい本でこの２冊をやれば本当に受験文法は他の人より頭１つ上に行く事ができると思います。が！上巻と同じ構成なのでやはり量が多いしちょっと飽きが来る・・。でもこの本に書いてある事が理解できれば、文法問題だけではなく，英文解釈，英作文の時にも必ず役に立ちます。こういう本は何回もやる必要もなく（やってもいいんだけど・・）、一通り読めばすかさず問題集に入り、そしてわからないところをまた戻って読んでみるといった方法がいいと思います。知識もよく定着できるし・・。だから、一回でいいので（１００回でもいい）、眠くなる気持ちを抑えてやりとおしてみてください！

この本は、本当にわかりやすいです。最初やり始めるまでは、取っつき
にくい印象を受けるかもしれませんが、説明の仕方が論理立っていて、
一つの問題に対する答えとその解説を読むと、幅広い範囲で応用が
効くような本です。英文法に悩んでいた時に大いに助かりました。
これと新・英頻をやれば、文法や構文に関しては、完璧に極めること
ができるのではないかと思います。伊藤和夫先生の著書は最高です。

　下巻では動詞関係から離れ、名詞・形容詞・副詞など、そして副詞節・
形容詞節（関係詞）・名詞節が扱われています。
この下巻まで終えると巷で流行る「最新データ分析・頻出」「語法重視」
などという煽りや人気予備校講師の宣伝文句がいかにインチキかわかるでしょう（笑）。

　伊藤師はもうこの世にはおられませんがどうしてこのような古典的参考書を出版されたのか考えることがあります。
本来ならば英語教師が『新・英頻』を使って英ナビのような解説を行うのが理想であったのに
最近は文法軽視・排除の風潮があまりにも強いため
せめて自分の英文法講義（抗議？）を残しておきたかったのだと思います。

12は伊藤和夫「英文法」3は伊藤師の「先輩」奥井潔「英文読解」
（おすすめ）4安武内ひろし「会話長文」5西きょうじ「英文速読」
が刊行されている。奇をてらったテクニックではなく本物の実力を
養成する優れたシリーズです。
