5.0 out of 5 stars 「山貞」復刻版、手にして正直大感激。, 2009/6/29
昭和38年（1963年）5月の増訂第一版の復刻版であるから、丁度「団塊の世代」（昭和22年〜24年生まれ）が中学生の頃にあった参考書であり、本当に久々に出遭い驚いた。今般本書と「和文英訳十二講」と併せて購入した。当時受験生からはバイブルと称されていた、本書「新自修英文典」、「和文英訳の修業」、「新訂英文解釈法」、「考える英文法」等々は受験に必須、常識とは言われても悔しいかなそのボリュームにとてもこなすことは出来なかった。私もせいぜい「和文英訳の修業」の予備編にある基本文例集の暗記をした程度だ。英語は通常教科書授業とグラマーと副読本とで、これらの授業と予習復習で時間的に一杯であった。そこまでで受験とこれら名参考書と私の関係は終わっていたが、やり遂げられなかった悔み、心残りはあった。しかしそこは流石にこれら名著だ。見事に版を重ね、或いは復刻版の出版で、素晴らしいことに念願の再会が出来た。英語というものはいくつになっても勉強したいもので、約半世紀振りに念願の名著を前に、生涯英語学習に時間をかけてじっくりやり直ししている毎日だ。英語に英文法は土台や構造や屋根のようなもので、やはり途中で基礎に戻って修復をすることの大事さを知った。これまでの会議、出張、折衝は思い返すと冷や汗ものだった。その挽回に文法・英文解釈・英作文、全てこれから総レビューだ。

　名著ということで試しに買ってみたところ非常に分かり易い。
疑問を感じさせない説明の仕方と各章ごとの練習問題のおかげで
効率の良さに重点をおいた他の英文法参考書より
スッキリと頭を整理しながら学習できます。

「ここの深い理屈はともかくただ覚えておきましょう」といった　
勉強法が嫌いな人達に向いているような本ですね。
学生時代にこれ一冊徹底的にやればもっと楽だったはずと思ってしまう。

　ほとんど土台のないところからいわゆる効率的学習を目指すより
こういった良書で土台をつくって
ピンポイント型のテスト対策を併せたほうが勉強の効果はあがるでしょう。
復刻した機会にぜひ一冊手に入れておいて損はないですよ。
