英語と真面目に取り組む人向け。名詞とは何か、準動詞とは述語動詞とは、などほぼ学校文法のすべてをしっかりと解説してくれていて、中級〜上級へ進むための足がかりになる本の一つである。

学校では時間がないのか、教員自身が知らないのかサッと解説が済まされ、段々英語がモヤモヤするものであるが、この本で基礎から知ることでそれらが一気に晴れていく。
この本の理解により、解説のあっさりした他の文法の参考書などがまともに読めるようになるのは間違いない。真剣に読んだ人は、以後の英語学習がとても楽になる。こんなに基礎を親身に解説してくれる本は貴重である。

　きちんとした文法を身に付けていなくて「自分の読み方は文法的に正しいのだろうか？単語をつなぎ合わせて筋が通る様に細工しているだけではないのか･･･。」となんとなく心にモヤモヤを抱きながら英文に接している人にとって、本書は最良の本といえると思います。
　著者も前書きで述べておられますが、「英文の解剖実習」と見立てて英文を丁寧に「解剖」して文法的な知識を自然に身に付けられる様になっております。
　英文読解に対して今一自信のない方は一読されることをお薦めします。

　勘で感じる英語で不安の５６年間。
　大学時代の実験をやっているようで、時間を忘れます、楽しい本です。
