私は多読のおかげでペーパーバックを読むことが出来るようになりました。でも、筆者の考えでは私はペーパーバックをちゃんと読んでいることにならないのです。もちろんちゃんとなんて読めてなくても自信になるのです。何冊も読み進むうちに単語は覚えてきます確実に。それから文法のことも少しずつですがわかりつつあります。そしてさらに勉強してみようなんて気分になります。映画を見てから読むとか、翻訳本を見てから読むなんて、どうも最初の話から変わってきてしまうではありませんか。精読がよいのはわかりますがそのために何人の人が挫折したのでしょうか。「快読」を読んで実践した後にこの本を読んでみたのでがっくりはしませんでしたが、はじめにこの本に出会っていたら今の私はありませんね。残念ですが今までの英語学習となんら変わることはありません。星が一つでないのは、The book is at least 50 pages too long.程度なので。

著者がスリラーとかミステリー系が好きなのかどうかはわからないけれど、例文の引用が多かった。けど私はそういう系は読まないので、あまり参考にはならなかった。

でもスリラーとかミステリーが好きな人にはいいと思います☆
