言葉は使う人や時代によっていろいろな形で表現され，特に文芸の世界においては，描写するのに的を得た文章の書き方・言葉の使い方も色々かと思います。
しかしながら，ビジネスシーン等文章で的確に物事を人に伝える必要がある場合には，統一的な言葉の表現方法が必要となってきます。
そういう意味でこの本は，現代の国語表記のメルクマールとして手元に置いておくべき一冊だと思います。
