5.0 out of 5 stars とてもシンプルな本（聖書につぐ　ベストセラー）, 2008/7/3
この本は、現代語に訳して書かれた
素晴らしい本です。

たしかに現在は比で表すところを、
回りくどい表現（昔は比を表す「：」自体もないし
割り算の考えもない）の為、読みにくいと思うかもしれませんが、
ユークリッドがまとめた、この発想が
こんな昔からあるなんて・・・
と想像するだけでワクワクできる本でした。

大学時代はなみはなさず持ち歩き、読んでいた本です。

タイトルの通り、文理を問わず読める。専門家しか読まないかもしれないが、高校生ぐらいから読めるので、気負わずに読むことが出来る。専門家の意見も聞いてみたい。

あの定義はこのような考えのもとに書かれているのだと知るたびにわくわく感を抑えられません。

数学教師ならば一度は読む必要があると思います。

数学好きな高校生でも頑張れば読めるかな？
