エディトリアルデザイナーさんが頑張っています。凝ったレイアウト。
ラッカムの絵を使って綺麗な本を1冊作り上げたぜ！という印象を受けました。ズバリ言うと、余白が多い本なのです。作品の圧縮率はわかりませんが、余白の為に小さな絵が更に小さく見えてしまう…横長の本なので尚更です。皮肉な事に、造りが立派なので2ページにまたいだ作品がすごい見辛い…！
ぼんやり眺めるにはとても素敵ですが、熱心に絵を見たい方、集大成的な画集だと思ってウッカリ買ってしまった方（私）はイライラするかもしれません。
愛蔵版にするためのラッカム本をお探しの方、またはラッカムを全然知らない方へのプレゼントにはお勧めです。表紙だけ見るとわかりにくいですが、とりあえずセンスは悪くない！と思う！

絵は時代がバラバラのもの（「夏の夜の夢」の作品はなかったです）が約50点でした。

アーサーラッカムについてとてもわかりやすく整理してくれています。
彼の人柄もよくわかるし、当時の社会状況も解説されています。

絵はもちろん素敵ですし、何度もながめたい本です。ただ、絵が古いためか、発色が今一つ良くないのが残念でした。

ページをめくるたびに夢を見ているようでした、繊細なラッカムの描いた妖精や乙女達の姿。絵の脇に題名が英語表記と日本語表記で書かれているので判りやすいです。装丁も非常に趣味が良いです。
収録された「ケンジトンガーデンのピーター・パン」の挿絵は秀逸です。お誕生日やクリスマスの贈り物にも最適ではないでしょうか。
私がお誕生日前なら是非贈って貰いたかった一冊です!
