ESOP（エソップ）、オウンワーク（自分の仕事）、コミュニティ・ビジネス、逆建設、食べられる景観、千年都市、グローバル・エコビレッジ・ネットワーク、自然エネルギーと機器をつなげる燃料電池、バイオマスリファイナリー、水素エネルギーウェブ、コハウジング、都市農業、併用通貨、ローカル・コンパクトやVFM(Value For Money)、統合医療、ポリアモリー（複数の愛）、オーガニックコミュニティ・・・などなど、世界のスロー最新潮流を読み解き、それを「生命の場所」のネットワークへとつなげていく著者の手腕はあざやかだ。

辻信一の『スロー・イズ・ビューティフル』が入門編だとすると、本書はその応用編・実践編といえるだろう。久々に未来への確かな手応えを感じさせる本に出会えた。

　スローライフについて、実生活の分野における実例や
取り組みを日本と世界の流れで紹介してくれる本です。
ただし、それぞれの事例や取り組みや考え方について、
詳しく説明したり迫ってりしてるわけではないので、あ
くまでもスローライフの流行の実例紹介という位置付け
という印象を受けました。
　付録として、各分野（共同体,食物,旅,恋愛,・・･）に
付いて詳しく学べるための参考文献がたくさん紹介され
ているので、きっと役に立つと思います。

　他人や世の中に流されて生きるのではなく、自分の
"好き"を生かして生活していく上で、きっと何か一つ
くらいは、ヒントになるキーワードが本書から見つかる
ような気がします。見つかったら、ラッキー。それに関
して、さらに調べてみましょう。行動してみましょう。

　自分の知らないところで、色んな活動が自然環境と
共同体の復活(?)のために展開されているのを知り、なん
だか勇気付けられる気がしました。
