作者は、マンガという表現の形式のない時代に生まれていたならば、詩人になっていたでしょう。マンガで描かれた詩集。昔の日本人のだれもが持っていた、自然への怖れと畏れ。風も稲妻も、竹林も海も、それが原初に持っていた荒々しい生命力をあらわにして、そこにあります。生と死の境界線が、薄い人なのでしょう。ときおり、死が、ぞっとする顔をのぞかせています。小さくて弱い人間は、他の人間のぬくもりを求めて生きています。その思いが、瑞々しく抒情的に語られています。親友と「どの話が好き？」と、お話をするのも楽しいでしょう。

5.0 out of 5 stars 誰もがかつて抱いたことがあるはずの自然への畏敬, 2009/10/4
初連載作品とあって処女短編集『そらトびタマシイ』と直結した
エネルギーがあります。著者は『リトル・フォレスト』なども含め
八百万の精霊たち、自然への信仰や畏怖をその主題の通奏低音に据えて
いると思いますが、この連作短編にはそれが特に顕著に出ていると思います。
文明により洗練された現代社会の住宅街、路地裏、
その全てのコンクリートの下には、それでもやはり土があるということを
つい僕らが忘れがちな、けれども決して忘れてはならない大切なものを
教えてくれる。

この上巻の中では、特に僕は『ハルノサキブレ』、『虹を織る声』、
『こんな冷え込んだ日には空を見ながら歩かないほうがいい』、
『博物館で月見』、『裏ねこ』、『雲と霧の戦い』に感銘を受けました。

歪む世界に想像＆創造の果てを見た様な作者の表現力に、類い稀なる才能を感じます。短編集なので、映画のショートフィルム等が好きなひとには絶対おすすめです。読後感としては、見てはいけないものを見てしまい興奮する感じに似ていました。新進気鋭のクリエーターにアニメや映像にしてもらいたい作品が沢山読めます。
