実に見応えのある本である。
美少年の絵姿を纏めた本と言うのは思いの外少なく、
ましてや存在したとしても余りにも高尚な趣味として
扱われやすい。
本書の様に図版主体とした上で絵自体にその魅力を語ら
せる本の存在と言うのは実に有り難い。

本書掲載の少年の絵はどれも美しい。日本人好みの「戦う少年像」の頂点がここにある。
「美」にはいくつものジャンルがあるが、かつての少年誌の少年像ほど純粋で美しいものはない。ともすればセクシャルな見方がされがちだが（本書でもそうだが）、見よ！この躍動感！画面の美しさ！こんな美しい挿絵が少年向け雑誌の挿絵だった事実に驚嘆する。
