ファンの方なら、とても楽しめるのではないでしょうか？
内容は、やっぱりcoccoの世界、とでも言うのでしょうか。
とても、色使いが綺麗で、眺めていて気持ちが穏やかになれますし、言葉の積み重ねも、柔らかいです。曲を聴いていても、そうなのですが、この絵本を読んでいても、沖縄（実際に訪れた事はありませんが）を感じる気がします。
前作の「南の島の星の砂」と対をなしている印象を受けます。前作を読んでから、本作品を読んだ方が、楽しめるとも思います。
絵本を購入すると、購入出来るCDですが、憑物が落ちて、カラッとしている印象を受けました。ベスト盤に収録されている「もくまおう」が好きな人は気に入ると思います。私もこのCDに収録されている2曲は好きです。しかし、日常的に歌う生活をしていないと思うのですが、声量が明らかに落ちています。彼女の声質が好きなので、これだけが残念でなりません。

前作よりもさらに繊細な線で緻密に描かれる絵には、もうただただ見とれるばかりです。鮮やかな色彩は人魚の情熱的な恋心をあらわしているようで、見ているこちらの心まで揺さぶられます。
深く碧い色の海は、沖縄の海を見つめ続けてきた彼女だからこそ描けるのでしょう。

ぜひ、多くの人に見て読んでもらって、遠い海の人魚に想いを馳せてほしいです。

Ｃｏｃｃｏにとって２作目となる今作。
ドキドキしながら梱包を開いた目に飛び込んできたのは、圧倒的なまでに鮮やかな色とほんの少しの言葉で。
ありがちな「道徳心」や「教訓」をふりかざすわけでもなく、
ただ「そこ」に存在しているだけの絵と言葉の世界。
なのに、とても温かい気持ちになれる自分がいた。

温かくて、悲しいわけでもないのに少しだけ泣いてしまいそうな、そんな感情が溢れてきて止まらなかった。

だから、この絵本を薦めるのだとしても、それに「言葉」は必要ない気がします。
読む人がそれぞれに「何か」を感じればそれでいいと思います。
Ｃｏｃｃｏだって、読む人全員に同じ感情を抱いてなんて、きっと考えてないと思うから。

この本の一番最後にあるＣｏｃｃｏプロフィールのラスト。
「現在、元気」
この言葉だけでＣｏｃｃｏファンな自分はとてもとても嬉しいのです。
