口語体を嫌う人もいるでしょうが、寿岳訳はむずかしくて...こっちがいいです。
と、言っても、河出の世界文学全集で読みました。（もう廃版なので）その意味では、正確ではありませんね。

イタリア語で読む時の参考にしていますが、ほとんど誤訳がなくて、文章もすっきりしています。
もっとも、天国篇を完全に理解するのは、何語で読んでも無理でした。

この書の翻訳の文体は、神曲の原本が３行詩の形式で書かれている点を踏襲しており、加えてリズムの良い翻訳を施している。そのため神曲の感じを非常に良く伝えている上、区切りの良い文章のため読みやすい。一冊で神曲が全てのっているのも良い。集英社等も神曲を出しているがそれらと比較しても格段に理解しやすい名訳だと思う。

有名過ぎるが、誰にでもお勧めとは言えないかもしれない。

でも、一度読む価値はある。

また、繰り返し読むとその時の自分自身の周囲の環境、気分、その他で
感じ方が変わる。。。

読書が趣味の人にはお勧めするが、滅多に読まないと言う人は、
どこでも売っている気軽な本から入ってそれから読んだ方がいいと思う。

滅多に読書をしない人はきっと投げ出すだろう。

私は宗教関係はほぼ完全に無知識、興味も無い、純粋に文学として読んだ感想です。

そのうえで、お勧めする。
