あんまり小説を読まないので、この人の文学界での立ち位置とか評価のされ方とかよく知りませんが、本書は最高に笑えました。

各短編全て、何の前触れもなく変な登場人物達が突拍子もない事がおこすのですが、その突拍子もなさがおかし過ぎます。
・当然、児童に死刑宣告をする教師
・客寄せのために「ビックポルノ」という店名を付けるゴルフショップ

・深夜に突然その店に侵入する男（自称・ビジネスの神様）
・たったの三行で受験決意から大学合格までを描写
・Ｊリーグファン3000人を爆弾ボールで爆殺するスポーツ用品店店主
などなど、挙げればキリがありません。

文学と言うと、文字を羅列したものからなにかしらの深い表現を感じ取るもんだとか、そういう崇高なイメージがありますが（実際に本作もそういう楽しみ方が出来る人には出来るのかもしれません）、本作はメチャクチャな展開といいかげんなオチに笑うーヤング系漫画雑誌に載ってるような不条理ギャグ漫画を見るように楽しめるものだと思います。

　過剰な宣伝やあおり文は、かえって本人を締め付けるような気がする。

　僕が感想を書くとすれば、怒ってんなぁ、の一言に尽きる。彼はとにかく怒っているのだ。マライア・キャリーを観に行く幸福な人々に対して、明るいブラスバンド隊の音色に対して、とにかく彼は徹底的に怒っている。だが一方で、それらを羨望のまなざしを持って眺めてもいる。本当はああなりたかったんじゃないのか？あれって実は大切なものなんじゃないのか？絵空事のような幸福な世界を憎むと同時に憧れ、そこからはじかれた自分をうらみつつ、同時に愛し慈しみたいと思う心。
　それが中原を文章へと駆り立てている力だと思うのだが、彼の怒りは最近特に自虐的方向へと傾きつつあるので、ご自愛しつつ、今後もいいかげんな文章!や音楽を作っていってほしいし、その機会も与えてあげてよみんなって思う。

これが前衛文学？　ダメ男の愚痴にしか読めないが・・・。
これが「21世紀のための文学」なら，お先真っ暗だ。
みんな騙されてるんじゃないか？
「無軌道」や「破壊」がカッコいいなんて，これこそ20世紀の遺物のはず。どこまで劣等感をふりかざすかはご自由としても，文章の品性のなさだけは耐え難い。

久しぶりに「あかんたれ」という大阪言葉を思い出した。
