生まれた子供が、口唇・口蓋裂をもって生まれてきたとき、何も知らないお父さんやお母さんが読むのに最適な本です。
何も知らない人が当然抱く疑問「どうしてこんな病気を持って生まれてきたのか」から、今後起こりうる問題とそれに対する治療方法の数々、それから医療費に関する助成制度のことまで、何も知らない人でも分かるように、非常に解りやすい表現で書かれています。
私の子供は口蓋裂を持って生まれてきましたが、この本はとても役に立つ本でした。
ただし、この病気について専門的なことを詳しく知りたい人向けではありません。いろいろなことについて深く知りたい人は、別の本を読むか、専門の医師から詳しい相談を受ける必要があると思います。

息子は口唇口蓋裂です。（現在は幼稚園児）
息子が生まれるまでこの病気の事は知りませんでした。
息子が生まれた際、病院でも詳しいことは説明してくれないし。。。
とっても不安な毎日を過ごしていました。
そんな矢先にこの本に出会い、救われました。
知りたい事が満載でした。私の一押しです。

項目別にＱ＆Ａ方式になっていて、とてもわかりやすく読みやすい本でした。
ただ、病院によって手術方法・手術までの注意方法など若干違うので、あくまでも参考として読む本ですが、私はすごくためになりました。
