更年期について医療関係者が書いた本は数多くありますが、本書は、著者自身が自らの苦しみを経て学び得た貴重な体験にもとづき構成されています。それらは、医療関係者では書き得ない事柄ばかりです。

なぜなら、それは、わが国の更年期医療改革を患者の視点に立って切り開いてきた日本アマラント協会の歴史であり、著者が実践してきた更年期コーチングの意義であり、患者の視点に立ったわが国におけるＨＲＴの課題であり、そして更年期と向き合うことで本当の人生を切り開いていった女性の生の声の数々で、いずれも、非常に貴重な「提言」に帰結されているからです。

そして、なによりも、著者自身の人生の変遷を通して語りかけてくれるメッセージの数々は、一人の女性の生き様がベースになっているからこそ、深い感動を与えてくれ、私自身の今までの人生をふりかえり、号泣したくなるような気持ちになりました。

更年期医療やコーチングに関する専門的な内容に触れることができる一方で、一人の女性としての生き方を深く考えさせられる本です。

この本は、更年期世代の女性だけでなく、若い女性たちに、そして、世の男性たちにも、ぜひとも読んでほしいと思います。なぜなら、更年期障害をどう改善するかという目先のノウハウ本とはまったく異なる人生論の書であるからです。

更年期の向こうには確かに「心地よい良質な時間」がある、
ということが実感できる１冊。

女性として更年期という時期を通過していく折に、
何が大切で、何を取捨選択していかなければいけないのか。
参考になるメッセージが多。

そして＜聴く＞というスタイル。
誰かに話を聴いてもらうことの心地よさや安心感が実感できる。
これは大きな収穫である。

コーチである著者ならではの、
温かくも、シャープなモノの見方に、
大いに勇気付けられ、前向きな気持ちにさせられる、
更年期の女性と、それを取り巻く全ての人の必読書である。

この本を読んで、なぐさめられ、同情し、共感し、感動しました。
私もストレスから病気になりました。自分が弱いからと、思っていましたが、
そうじゃないんですね。私の人生のオリというか、溜まったよどみに自分が浸かってしまい、身体が変わったのに気がつかなかったのですね。
この本は、教えてくれました。ありがとう
