黒須和清のペーパー・クラフトは、一枚の紙から切り起こされたものである。絶対に切り離されていない。すなわち、どこまで複雑になっても、ぺしゃりとつぶせば、一枚の紙に還元される。つまり、２次元の平面になる。３次元の立体の世界との中間に位置する。２．５次元の世界になる。ところが、この本にしたがって、たとえばカミキリ虫を制作してみる。すると、作者が白い紙から、虫を生み出していった想像力が、生き生きと活動する新鮮な時間が、追体験されていく。２．５次元に時間という、もう一つの次元がプラスされていくのだ。
