買ってよかった本のひとつです。
型紙はついていませんが、小物の作り方がいくつか図解で入っていて、初心者にも取り組みやすくなっています。
実は私は、「高橋さんの作品ではないけれど、これを作りたい・・・」と思うものがあるとき、ミシン→手縫いに作り方を変換するためにこの本を利用しています。英和辞典にたとえれば、「ミシン手縫い辞典」ですね。
高橋さんの服は、簡単さを追及するため、ドルマンスリーブが圧倒的に多いですが、この本にはセットインスリーブの作り方も書いてあります。残念なのは、ギャザースカートなどの、ギャザー部分の縫い代始末の仕方が載っていないこと。やはり高橋さんもここだけはミシンをお使いなのでしょうか？　「レッスン２」に期待したいところです。

私もこの本は買ってよかった本の１つです。
さりげなく、手縫いの方が簡単な時があるんだなぁと教えてくれます。
まだ大きな服は縫った事がありませんが、息子の袋物などを作る時に
縫い代の始末や裏布付きなど、とても参考になります。
何と言っても簡単に縫えるようになっているのが助かります。
ミシンを出さなくても、手縫いでチョコチョコやれば良いんだなぁと
アナログな手仕事を推進？してくれる良本。

作品は思っていたように分かり易いと思います。
手作り初心者に近いですが、参考書がわりに
活躍してくれそうです。また、対応は大変早く
きちんとして頂きました。
