これを読めば音楽ライターとしての全ての技能が身に付くものではないが、音楽ライターになる為の考え方や行うべき事などの整理をする上で非常に参考になると思う。勿論、音楽知識に乏しい筆者にとっては、ポイントとなる用語が欄外に書かれているものが非常に役立つ点と呼べる。これを読んでどの程度効果があるかは、筆者自身を使って実験しようと思う。本を一冊読んだくらいで変らないとは思うが、面白い試みだと思うのでやってみることにした。

発行されたばかりのときに書店でみかけて、「なんてすごい本なんだ、いつか、夢を追いたくなったとき、買おう。」と先延ばししてしまった。それから、２年。あのとき、買っていればよかった。その後、いろいろライタ-になりたい人のための学校などに通ったけれど、こんなにプロフェッショナルな内容をこれ一冊でカバ-している本はありません。そういった学校に通うために10万円ちかく投資するより、この一冊です。

~このライターの記事を何度も読んでいるが、いつも不快きわまりなく、氏が批判しているアーティストこそ聞きたくなり、氏が絶賛しているアーティストほど興味がなくなる。

このようなライターがこの本により養成されるとは思いがたいが、あまり感心できない。何より氏は態度が尊大であり、それが読み手には不快なのだろう。

ライターになりたいのであれば他の本をお薦めする。~
