バロックから初期古典派までの音楽を演奏する人のために、装飾音、リズム、アーティキュレーションなどの解釈を、多くの原典資料を参照しつつ、当時の演奏習慣にもとづいて実践的に示した書。


著者略歴 (「BOOK著者紹介情報」より)

橋本 英二
1931年東京生まれ。1954年東京芸術大学音楽部オルガン科を卒業。同専攻科を修了後、1956年にフルブライト留学生としてシカゴ大学大学院(作曲、音楽学)、イェール大学音大(ハープシコード)で学位を得た。1964年日本にもどり、桐朋学園音大で教えたが、1966年にフランス政府から招かれてパリに滞在、国立図書館で研究にたずさわり、またフランス内外を旅行した。帰国途次アメリカ各地を演奏旅行中シンシナティ大学音大からハープシコード科の設置を依頼され、1968年以来Artist‐in‐Residenceとして教えるかたわら、世界20数カ国で演奏を重ねてきた。1978、81年の東京のリサイタルは文化庁芸術祭参加公演となり、2度とも芸術祭優秀賞をうけた。バロック様式の室内オーケストラの指導にも長年力をいれ、アメリカ各地はもとより、1990年代には数年間イタリアのルッカ音楽祭の監督をつとめた。1998年にはシンシナティ大学より最高栄誉のDistinguished Professorの称号を授けられ、またロックフェラー財団の招きでイタリアのベラジョでD.スカルラッティの研究を続けた。2001年にシンシナティ大学名誉教授となった(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)
