この本では、三国演義を元に書かれた吉川栄治の三国志を漫画化した横山光輝の三国志の漫画の場面を追いながら三国志を語っていくものであり、当然三国演義が中心となっているので、本格的な三国志ファンにはちょっと厳しいかもしれない。

しかし、三国志を読み始める人や横山光輝の三国志が好きな人にとっては結構面白い一冊だと思う。特に横山光輝の三国志は孔明の描き方がある意味ちょっとすごすぎる面はあるが、本当にかっこよく描かれており、孔明ファンならずとも孔明に惹かれてしまうと思う。三国志の中で最も悲劇的な主人公でありまた同時に最も天才的であったとされる孔明の伝説を読みたい人は是非。

僕は横山先生の三国志は総合１０回以上は読みました＾＾やはり、魅力はその当時流行ったであろう手塚タッチっぽいほんわかした画質、血肉を争って驚嘆するシーンなどを歴史の重大さとして伝える想像力。それらの魅力に押し倒された一人でもあり、それを総合化して各巻に散らばっているおもしろさを凝縮していて、読み返しの利くまさに横山三国志の全てといえるでしょう＾＾

これが、歴史書目線（マンガですが）で見たなら、☆５はなかったでしょう。横山光輝の個人栄華の産物だ！という評論しか生まれてこないでしょう＾＾；しかし、これはその産物が為の集大成なのです＾＾
すみませんが、文句のつけようがありませんでしたｗ

文句・・・というか謎というか、本書の中にも投げかけられている問題が一つあります。
それは歴史的にも三国の覇者を決めたであろう【官渡の戦い】をわずか数コマで終わらした事です＾＾；
これには多くのファンの方が首を傾げたかと思われます。
それについての評論などが編集員によって問いかけられています。

遅れましたが、他には中国の地図、各州・地方の城や名所（省きあり）、三国志から生まれた故事ことわざ（一部紹介）、各巻の名場面集、【これはみどころ】ピックアップされた名高き武将達の解説などが事細かに書かれています＾＾（他にもありますが伏せておきます）

最後に、僕は三国志が好きです。僕の中では１か２を争うぐらい好きです。このレビューを書きながらふと思いましたが、三国志本来はもちろん好きですが、それを越えて横山三国志を好いていたのかなぁという気がします。

蜀贔屓度は
三国志正史＜三国志演戯＜＜横山光輝 三国志
くらいです。
その点を理解している方、横山光輝氏の三国志が大好きな方にはかなりの良書です。
やはり一番の見所は「主要人物30人徹底解剖」で、「特選キャラクター事典」も主要人物を全てカバーしきれていないのが残念とはいえ、かなり楽しめます。
付属のDVDは、収録時間は短いものの三国志にまつわる中国の名所を回る横山氏という相当な貴重映像。DVDが付いて2000円はなかなかにお買い得と言えます。
氏の三国志が好きな方はすぐにでも購入する事をお勧めします。
