呂布、という人物は、三国志上、１番強い、とされる人物です。
だが、すべてが力任せ、女に弱い。
そして、人をすぐに裏切ります。

ですから、いくら有能な男でも最後の最後で、こんな人間を生かしておくと、あとあと厄介になると思い、曹操に最後は殺されます。

だから、自分の能力を過信してはいけない、と思います。
自分は井の中の蛙に過ぎないな、と思う必要があるのです。
自分を世界の中心、と考えてはマズイです。

最後の最後に呂布は、臣下の言うことまで信じられなくなるのです。
彼に足りなかったのは、人を信じる心でした。
人を信じれない人間は、大将としての器になれるわけがありませんからね。

三国志の漫画です。この巻では、呂布の最期のエピソードが描かれています。これまで仕えた者を裏切ることで、戦乱の世を生き抜いてきた男呂布は、最期は、家来に愛想をつかされ、裏切られ、死んで生きます。どこか単純で、情に流される呂布は、人間的魅力のある人物に映ります。

中国の戦国時代であった三国志をマンガ化した作品の7巻目

この巻は曹操の躍進の前の呂布の最後を扱っています。
それまで、その戦闘力の高さからやどかりのように
居城を移していた呂布で、これまではどの馬より
早い赤跳馬で向かうところ敵なしでした。
　その呂布が陳親子の知恵により滅ぼされてしまう
のがこの巻です。

　呂布は強かったのですが、それ以上に知恵が勝っているという
ことがこの巻では書かれていて面白い本でした。
