子供（多分小学４年生ぐらい）の時に、母に買ってもらいました。
何とも言えない恐怖感が襲う前半。月が墜落してくることにパニックを起こす人々。
無事に生き残れるだろうか？不安な日々を過ごす主人公。
そして、実際に月が墜落してみると･･･。愚かな人間の愚かさがこれでもかというくらいに感じる一冊です。
私は「人間というものはどうにもならないものだ。」ということを、小学生でこの本を読んで感じました。
今でも私の頭の土台になった本です。
あまりにもの内容なので、あまり小さなうちには読まない方が良いと思います。
子供の発達状況に合わせて読ませてください。正直、人間が嫌になります。
それだけインパクトのある本ですが。

ロバート・Ｃ・シェリフの名作古典ＳＦ作品です。
対象は小学校高学年向けですが大人でも楽しめる内容なので、ご家族で回し読みするのに最適だと思います。
更に竹本　泉先生の美麗なイラストが華を添えておりますので、ファンの方はコレクションとして是非どうぞ。
