サブタイトルにあるように医療従事者でなくとも読めることを念頭においた本です．
白血病の前に造血に関する説明から始まるのでとてもわかりやすい．
普通はここから始まるのが筋かと思ったのですが，
なかなかこんな本に出会えませんでした．
2002年出版なので内容も古くなっていません．
この本を読破してさらに先を学びたい人はこの本の付録を参考にしたり
BloodのArticleを拾い読みするのもいいかと思います．

白血病とはなにか？を知るための要件は充分に満たしているので5点です．

白血病と診断された患者本人だけでなくその家族にとっても、詳しく書かれている内容なので絶対にお薦めの本です。イラストやグラフなどがたくさん使われていて、今まで馴染みのなかった血液疾患の事がよく理解出来ました。

さる人に借りて読みました。とても分かりやすい本です。自分で新しい情報等を書き込みたくて買うことにしました。この本をベースにして、日々進化する白血病の治療方法を学んでいきたいと思っています
