各疾患ごとに生体内のメカニズムと医薬品の作用機序をイラストで示し、その病態生理の抄禄、治療戦略を代表薬の構造と特徴を４ー５ページにまとめてくれているので、知識を整理するのには最適です。といっても、基礎知識のない人が導入書のつもりで読んでみても、おそらく、何を書いているのか全くわからないと思います。生化学や薬理の教科書、大学の講義や、企業である程度の知識を身に付けた人が、薬理について復習するには、最適の良書です。

薬理学はよく薬病神（疫病神）の一つと言われています。私の大学では鬼門の一つで、おじさん医学生の私にとってかなりしんどいことになるだろうと戦々恐々としていました。が、試験はこの本で救われました。というのも、症例ごとにその治療戦略が1ページの図にまとめられていて大変覚えやすいものになっているためです。もちろん、各治療戦略に対する解説も載っています。この本は薬理学をある程度勉強してから読んでもよいのですが、自律神経系の基礎をある程度おさえたら十分使っていけると思います。価格も安いのでかなりお得ではないでしょうか。

薬理学の参考書・教科書と言うとその薬理作用ごとにまとめられているのが一般的である。この図解薬理学では作用点についてのみならず、病態生理を踏まえた上で治療戦略を示し、それぞれの戦略ごとに薬物を挙げている。また、主要病態ごとに図が配置されているため、度忘れした時にはその図だけを見れば思い出せる。そんなところも長所の一つだ。薬物治療の全体像をつかむ為にはお勧めの一冊。

医学部二年生、三年生は従来の薬理学書と併用して、高学年ではこれ一冊だけで薬物治療のバイブルとして使えるだろう。
