諸星大二郎は昔から好きだったのですが、なぜかこのシリーズは食わず嫌いをしていました。
が、読んでびっくり、あまりの面白さに抱腹絶倒！普通、漫才はボケと突っ込みで成り立つものですが、栞と紙魚子の女子高生コンビは、両方とも強烈なボケなのです。
不思議な事件も栞と紙魚子にかかれば、お話はさらに想像しない方向にドンドン加速して、おーい！どういうことやねん！と読者が突っ込む間もなく、新しい展開へ。。。
小説家、段一致先生とそのクトゥルー家族。おっさん猫のボリスなど、脇役も最高にボケてます！
麻薬のようなこのシリーズに、あなたもはまってみては？

おどろおどろしい日常にのほほんと立ち向かう（？）栞と紙魚子の二人。二人を取り巻く日常と、それを受け止める彼女たちの感覚、一体どちらが異常なのでしょうか（笑）？
必見はタイトルにもなっている「生首事件」でしょう。朝の散歩の途中で捨てられた生首を発見した栞が取った行動とは？栞の相談に乗ってる紙魚子も更に突き抜けていて最高です！！

オムニバス形式で異常な世界の日常を描く本作。諸星ワールドの入り口としても最適だと思います。

マニアにはその特異性から神のごとくあがめ奉られていた諸星大二郎。
その諸星があのモロ☆がこんな、それも女子高生を主人公にした漫画を
描こうとはいったい誰が予想したでしょうか！？

と、煽りが入ってつい大声でまくしたてたくなりそうな傑作です。
とにかくおもしろいのです。もう、その発想が飛抜けてあっちの世界に
いってしまわれたというかなんというか普通じゃないおもしろさです。
天然ぼけ美少女の栞と博識だけど少しぼけ入ってるメガネっ娘紙魚子の
主人公たちにホラー作家のラブクラフトの作品を過去に読んでいたら
クスリとくるネーミングのキャラクターたちが一見普通の日常に見える
町内を一変してくれます。

諸星作品をその絵柄の印象からパスしていた人は、是非読みましょう！
きっと損はしません。読後、いつも見る町内の風景がなにかしら怪しく
見えてきたらもうこの本は手放せない。

とっつきにくいイメージのある諸星作品ですがこのシリーズだけは軽く読めて楽しめます。いい意味でオバカです。文庫版も出てますが、こっちのサイズが断然よいです。
