面白すぎて一気に「読んで」しまった。何の脈絡もなく、出自もバラバラ、ただ「すごい」という観点から選ばれた100点の写真。100点見るなんて大変かと思ったら、写真と著者の寸評を読み比べるうちにいつの間にか写真を「見る-読む」行為にハマってしまう。こうやってじっくり見ると、写真って本当に変。思わず吹き出してしまう。深読みしすぎて苦笑いすることも多々。そういう中で、写真というメディアでしかできない発見や表現が確かにあるということに気づかせてくれる。それを誰でも感じることができるようにつくってあるのがこの本のすごいところです。これは全く新しい写真の教科書・バイブルです。

ネット時代になり、興味、感心、興奮などを伝えるために画像が氾濫しています。
ありとあらゆる媒体が画像添付でないとダメみたいになっています。
この本を読んで、すっかり画像（写真）の持つ多様性、ひらめき、複眼的視点などを見直しするきっかけになりました。また大竹さんの写真の見取図としての文章で、一段と脳が活性化し清涼感あふれる感動を得ました。
本当にすばらしい本です。

今ならＷＥＢで溢れる面白写真。誰もが気軽に撮影できそれを紹介できる今ですが、それらの数が多すぎ全てを見るのは不可能でそのダイジェストが欲しい今日この頃、そんなあなたにお勧めの一冊。昔で言えばＶＯＷ？
