全5巻が出版されるということだが、この2巻で早くも最終局面のような展開になっている。しかしマンネリ化やぐだぐだ感は全くなく、むしろ面白さが圧勝している。

本巻では戦鬼ライと血髑髏との戦いがメインとなる。ライとの戦いはとにかく零式鉄球のかっこよさが最も際立つエピソードとなる。ピンチを迎えるも、そこは覚悟の作戦となる。

血髑髏との戦いはおそらく覚悟史上では苦戦を唯一強いられたもの。罪子が罠にかかり、血髑髏の戦鬼となった時は絶望的な展開にしかならないと思ったが、そこは山口先生。さすが!

前半の巨乳戦鬼戦は特筆はしないが、また覚悟の熱さは光っている。

一巻よりも死闘劇が増え、散との最終決戦への予兆を感じさせるのが本巻。

1巻はザコたちとの戦い。
主人公葉隠覚悟の強さを際立たせている。

2巻では、覚悟と同様、
体に鉄球（いざと云うときに体を多い、攻撃力、守備力を向上させる。）を埋め込んだ
ライとのタイマンバトル、
ヒロインを人質に取るどころか戦術鬼に改造しけしかける血髑髏との戦いが主に描かれる。

かなりの苦戦を強いられているが、
少年ヒーロー漫画らしい熱い戦い。

二冊同時に購入したが、一気に800ページ読んでしまった。
特に二巻では、マンネリ化を防ぎつつ、非常に盛り上がる展開をみせ、
純粋におもしろい。

ヒロインを助けた後の覚悟の言葉がすばらしい。泣かせる。
みんな、声高らかに歌を歌おう？？
と思った。

巻末の作者のお言葉も
時におもしろく、時にためになり、無駄に（ほめ言葉）熱い。

　第１巻に引き続き、熱い漢の物語。
　主人公が変身して悪と闘うというヒーローものの王道的なストーリーですが、「覚悟のススメ」は決して単純な勧善懲悪作品ではありません。敵の親玉にも或る目的があり、その手下にも人格的に立派な者がいます。だからこそそれを承知で闘う主人公・葉隠覚悟の姿に感動すら覚えます。
　ヒーロー者にありがちな「敵が現れる→主人公が闘って倒す→また敵が現れる」というマンネリなループはなく、この第２巻で早くも物語の全貌が明らかになり、収束点が見えてきます。
　一切の無駄を省き完全燃焼する物語。山口貴由の真骨頂がここにあります。
