主人公、範馬刃牙の目的は【地上最強の生物】である父、範馬勇次郎との決着なので乗り越えるべき相手として地球上で生きていた原人ピクルの登場はまぁ許せますが前作、前々作で活躍してきた地下闘技場の戦士達を使い捨ての如く闘わせるのは果たして正しいのか？
これは個人の価値観によるので面白い面白く無いは個々の自由な訳ですが良き友良き好敵手であった烈海王がやられていく様ははっきり言って噛ませ犬以外何者でもありませんでした。
作画はシリーズ連載当初より格段に高まっていますが物語の面白みでは劣化しているのでは？
勇次郎との決戦を延ばせば延ばすほどライバル達が使い捨ての駒のように扱われていくのが辛いです。
個々のキャラクターに思い入れがあればある程そう感じます。
物語の方向性が若干ずれて来ている今決着の時は何時の日か？
いくら頂点が範馬勇次郎だと言えども他の闘士達は確実に新キャラの強さの引き立て役になってしまっている。

霊長類がネコ科の様な動き方をしちゃってます。納得いくような闘いを期待します。これじゃあギャグ漫画です。

勇次郎は一端仕掛けた戦いを止め、なぜに烈に先をこされる？
本来の勇次郎なら所かまず、手段を選ばず闘っていたはず。
この分だと、また刃牙にとられてしまのでは？
12巻でもふれたが、作者さん忘れるなよ、刃牙が2年で母のかたきをとることを！
そして強い者にの独特の臭いを嗅ぎ闘わずにいられない勇次郎の性格を！
このぶんでは、電話でそれぞれの猛者へ伝わった「烈食われる」によって
またくだらない戦いが続きそうな予感。
動物とだけ闘う最近の勇次郎、昔の勇次郎に戻ってくれ！
