ブラックジャック、おそらく毎年８０００人の医者が誕生しているが、その９割は影響を受けているであろう。
現実的かなんていうナンセンスな話はやめて、どんな難病であってもメスひとつで治してしまう、そんな夢の物語に浸ってみてください。
そして、その夢の中に隠されている現実の残酷さを感じてみてください。

天才無免許医ブラックジャック！
彼のメスさばきは芸術的ともいえる。外傷、悪性腫瘍、心血管、あげくには脳手術・・・！法外ともいえる手術料と引き換えに、助手のピノコと共に今日もメスをふるう。もぐり、金の亡者などともののしられながらも、本当の優しさを秘めた彼の元には今日も手術の依頼が・・・。

医師であった手塚治虫の代表的作品で、この本の影響を受けた医師も数知れない・・・私も内科ながらその一人です・・・。

手塚治虫の生み出した天才的外科医の話で、主人公は医者だけれども免許は持
っていません。つまりもぐりです。もぐりであるにもかかわらず手術の腕前は
天才的で多くの人を助けます。その代わり法外なほど治療費を取る非常な一面
もあり、お金には換えられない命の値段についても考えされられます。
